Since October 2019, Hendrik Erz is a research assistant in the Project "Algorithms and Artificial Intelligence as Game Changers? Modern Weapon Systems Between Expectation and Reality". Since 2017, he researches on European and Western riots in general, as well as on the progressing digitalisation and developments in software engineering. He studied History, Political Sciences, and Sociology at the University of Bonn. Between 2017 and 2019 he worked at the University of Bonn.


Research Profile | Current Projects

Currently, Hendrik Erz focuses on contemporary trends in software development with regard to the research and development of autonomous weapon systems. This includes the analysis of machine learning algorithms, automated image and text recognition, artificial intelligence, cloud-computing in the military, as well as microservices and distributed systems for controlling modern weapon systems and aggregating data.
