Thilo Geiger

Thilo Geiger has been a research associate at IFSH in Hamburg since October 2024. The General Staff Officer has worked since 2016 primarily as a trainer for cadettes and young military leaders. Thilo Geiger studied educational science at the University of the Federal Armed Forces Munich. Parallel to his training on the National General/Admiral Staff Officer Course, Thilo Geiger completed the postgraduate Master's programme "Military Leadership and International Security" at Helmut Schmidt University/University of the Federal Armed Forces Hamburg.

Thilo Geiger deals with various aspects of security and defence policy as well as armed forces, particularly the challenges of hybrid warfare for political education. He expands the research of the IFSH by contributing military expertise and military policy and promotes civil-military exchange relations. Thilo Geiger also teaches for the Master of Peace and Security Studies programme.
