From 11-12 October 2012 Ulrich Kühn participated in the Wilton Park conference on Conventional Arms Control and the Euro-Atlantic Security Environment. Invited on behalf of Undersecretary of State Rose Gottemoeller, he took part in discussions focusing on sub-regional conflicts and the overall state of conventional arms control in Europe. Participants agreed that conventional arms control is still a critical part of the Euro-Atlantic security architecture and a stabilizing element in areas of inter- and intra-state conflict.
