The IFSH organized a summer school on the impact of the Afghanistan conflict on Central Asia, which took place in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. The summer school offered lectures by Prof. Dr. Michael Brzoska, director of the IFSH, Dr. Arne Seifert, Senior Research Fellow at CORE/IFSH, Thomas Ruttig, Co-Director of the Afghanistan Analyst Network and Prof. Dr. Rustam Burnashev, Political Scientist at the German Kazakh University.
