A brain-interface technology could shorten the human decision-making process in case a nuclear strike decision has to be made. They analyze three potential scenarios, which impact the advisory and decision chain, the executive chain and the predecision phase. All options come with a myriad of ethical, legal, political, and other concerns which need to be addressed.
