New Policy Paper: "Weapons of Mass Distortion"

Which emerging technologies are most likely to escalate a crisis? And which nuclear risk reduction measures could mitigate any potential risks of emerging technologies, while also capitalising on the benefits and opportunities that they present?

The policy paper by IFSH Visiting Research Fellow Marina Favaro takes an innovative approach to emerging technologies and nuclear risk reduction. Rather than viewing ‘emerging technologies’ as a broad risk category, it offers an original analytical framework for thinking and talking about the types of nuclear risks created by emerging technologies. The paper was published with the Centre for Science & Security Studies of the King’s College London.
