Screening by Cinema for Peace Foundation

On 14 May 2012 the Cinema for Peace Foundation showed in "Abaton" cinema Angelina Jolie's directorial debut "In the Land of Blood and Honey" (2011), which deals with the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina during the 1990s and tries to explore the origins and consequences of the conflict. The movie received the Most Valuable Movie of the Year Award at the Cinema for Peace Gala 2012 in February.

Besides that, together with the film crew Angelina Jolie received the Cinema for Peace Honorary Award for her anti-war engagement and her dedication to reconciliation. Naida Mehmedbegovic Dreilich was invited to the screening in Hamburg to give a short introduction into the topic and to answer the questions from the audience. The need for discussion after the screening was tremendous.
