The German Foundation for Peace Research has published Anna Kreikemeyer's report on an IFSH-workshop on peace formation in Central Eurasia. This report summarizes regional expert‘s findings on the relevance of peaceful local ordering in Central Eurasia. It shows chances and limitations of various conceptual and methodological approaches to grasp local ordering. As a result interregional and interdisciplinary cooperation could help fill evident research gaps on local practices of avoidance, on the temporality of ordering and on effects of mobility. Finally, more translation and dialogue is needed to help overcome normative ambivalences between Europe and Eurasia.
