Show your writing skills and share your policy proposals: How can conventional arms control be reinvigorated, how can confidence- and security-building measures be strengthened? Students and young professionals are invited to submit their ideas in the forms of short essays.
For the second time in a row, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and the IFSH, in cooperation with the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP), the Moscow State Institute for International Relations (MGIMO) and the Vienna Centre for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation (VCDNP), have launched the essay competition on conventional arms control and confidence- and security-building measures.
Participants need to be nationals of OSCE participating States and Partners for Co-operation, and no older than 35 years of age. Deadline for submissions is 1st August 2021.
Winners of the competition will receive monetary prizes and potentially other prizes, as well as the offer to publish their winning essay.
