The 41st "Defence and Traffic" Seminar took place at the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) in Hamburg. Dr. Schneider was the only female participant of the ca. 40 attendees invited by the Federal Ministries of Transport (BMVBS) and Defence (BMVg). As part of the seminar, taking part in a panel on piracy, Patricia Schneider presented the results of the PiraT-Project (Piracy and Maritime Terrorism as a Challenge for Maritime Trade Security: Indicators, Perceptions and Options for Action).
