IFSH security experts speak at the German Bundestag

Conventional and nuclear arms and arms control in Central and Eastern Europe were the topics of discussion in the German Bundestag in mid-May. The Subcommittee for Disarmament, Arms Control and Non-Proliferation held a public consultation, to which two IFSH researchers were invited as guest speakers. Dr. Ulrich Kühn focussed on the current INF Treaty crisis, emphasising the danger of medium-range missile rearmament in Western Europe within the next two years. In his talk, IFSH Senior Research Fellow Dr. Wolfgang Zellner warned above all of the growing risk of escalation in the area of conventional arms.
