Bevor sie zum IFSH kam, war sie Wissenschafltliche Mitarbeiterin an der Universität von Birmingham (Vereinigtes Königreich). Argyro Kartsonaki trägt einen Doktortitel in „International Relations“ der Universität Birmingham, den Titel eines Master of Arts in „Political Analysis of European Public Policy“ der Universität Kreta, Griechenland sowie einen Bachelor of Arts in „International and European Economic and Political Studies“ der Universität Mazedonien, Griechenland.
